A big "How To Beat Payment Issues and Keep Your Apple Music Playing' text is to her right.

One of the greatest things the internet has gifted you and me is unlimited access to music. Music nourishes, heals, inspires, and enriches. Consequently, the rise of the streaming era with giants like Spotify, Apple Music, and Youtube has made music consumption a win-win for artistes and consumers.

Right now, I’m tuned in to new songs by my favorite artistes on Apple Music; however, this hasn’t always been the case. Being Nigerian, some regulation by CBN had me disconnected from my only source of calm in turbulent times. None of my Naira Mastercards could pay for my Apple Music anymore.

It took a while for me to find out that, in fact, the issue with paying for Apple Music with a Nigerian card is the card itself – Apple’s payment processor rejects Naira Mastercards issued by Nigerian banks.

However, finding an alternative solution by paying for Apple Music with a dollar card has had its roadblocks for me and other music lovers in Nigeria who want to enjoy uninterrupted and unlimited music.

Fortunately, Mustard has been helpful with paying for my Apple Music, and I want to put you on. Through my experiences, I’ve discovered hacks that ensure a seamless music listening experience with Apple Music. By following them, you can get the best out of your Apple Music.

Here’s how to continually enjoy a hassle-free listening experience on Apple Music in Nigeria.

Keep your card funded

Ensure your dollar card has adequate funds before your Apple Music subscription renews. An inadequate card balance can interrupt your access to premium Apple Music features, thus disrupting your flow. My hack to ensuring my card is always ready for Apple Music payments is to set reminders, regularly monitor my card balance, and top up my Mustard dollar card before my subscription due date.

Matching addresses

Additionally, double-check that your Apple ID address matches the billing address associated with your dollar card. Any mismatch, even minor typos, can lead to payment processing issues.

Stay up-to-date

Staying informed of changes to Apple Music’s payment methods in Nigeria is always helpful. Occasionally, check Apple’s official support pages for the latest updates.

By following these tips and exploring your options, you can unlock a world of uninterrupted music streaming on Apple Music in Nigeria.
